Send Out a Card and Make someone smile!

February 11th, 2008 admin Posted in Uncategorized, encouragement, gratefulness, send out cards, soc information | No Comments »

Sending a card has a way of making you and the other person smile.  When I send an unexpected card it always makes me laugh when I get around the person and hear how it made them feel.  Making a person feel special is what SendOutCards is all about.  It allows you to act on a prompting no matter what time it is.  There’s no going to the store, then picking the right card, bringing it home, getting a stamp, and then mailing it.  You can easily sit down at your computer, log in, pick a card, fill out the inside (in your own handwriting if you want) and hit send.  Send out cards does the rest, they print it, stuff it, lick it put a real stamp on it and send it out.

Send out a card happy person        Go Ahead, try it today, you can send a free card on me today at www.followuprobot.com

I need Prayer everyday!

February 4th, 2008 admin Posted in Prayer, Uncategorized, encouragement, motivation, send out cards | No Comments »

Just today our Pastor preached on Prayer and brought up some really good points that I would like to point out.

Several times in the new testament, Paul who was a great man of God and saw many lives changed was constantly saying two things to the different churches that he wrote to.  The first thing was he was always writing that he was praying for the saints and then the second thing he wrote was pray for me or us when Timothy was with him.  This mighty visualtdm81.jpgvisualtdm81.jpgvisualtdm81.jpgman of God was constantly praying for the saints and that tells me that we all need prayer and he was constantly asking us to pray for him.  He didn’t want to go this thing alone, he wanted the prayers of the saints to strengthen him.

Prayer may not get you out of a trial that you’re going through (tho I have seen that happen) but it will definitely give you strength to make it through.  Several times just hearing “I’m praying for you” has allowed me to pick myself up by the boot straps and go on.  Praying for others also helps you get your mind in the right mindset - a giving mindset - and when you give you receive it’s just God’s way of doing things.  It goes back to the sowing and reaping principle, if you are in great need of prayer, then start by praying for others and the rest will come.  Even Jesus said to pray for our enemies so that tells me that I should be praying even more for my loved ones.

The other point that our Pastor made was the fact that even when we feel like there is no one praying for us or maybe we feel like no one WOULD pray for us because of the things we’ve done, THERE is at least ONE that will always be praying for us.   Rom 8:34 So you are never without someone praying for you.

Who can you be praying for today, if you can’t think of anyone else, pray for me “I need Prayer everyday”

I have also found that when I’m really in need of a lift, sending someone else an encouraging note lifts my spirits, have you lifted your spirits today…I just did.

It’s all about how we make people feel

February 2nd, 2008 admin Posted in encouragement, motivation, send out cards | No Comments »

I was just crusing around on www.activerain.com and found this really great post by Judi Barrett talking about the way that we treat people.  I have often found that from the youngest to the oldest, we all still care about how people make us feel.  How people make us feel can be so life changing.  There is rifs in families, splits in churches, conflicts at work ans fights on school buses (this one I should know all to well) all because of how someone makes us feel.  As Judy put it so well we are the ones that have a choice.  I choose to laugh today and live today full of joy and let the est of life roll off my back like water off a ducks back.  And while I’m living I will chose to try and make someone elses life a little brighter, a little funnier, or make someone else feel a little more special.  I’ve got a great start, my daughter just came in and told me good morning and I just told her “I have got to be the luckiest mom in the world!”  You should have seen her smile…. We’re off to a great day.

Another great way to make someone feel special today is to send an unexpected card to someone, want to try it, go ahead, click here to send a real card, with a real stamp and see what can happen.

Great New Tool For Those who love to Text Messaging

February 1st, 2008 admin Posted in Marketing, twitter | No Comments »

Last night I was looking around for some marketing information and also looking

for ways to increase David’s presence on the web and found this really neat site called

Twitter.com

It is a place that allows you to keep in touch with those who are following you just simply by texting your twitter account and all those who have an account instantly know what’s going on with you. It also puts your information on their twitter account so when the search engines and spiders are doing their thing, it finds your name and websites.

I thought about several great ways to use this, just in my family alone.  Say you’re going to be late you can text your whole family with one message and let them know, or you’re running late to a meeting, one Text can let everyone know.

Plus it’s just alot of fun!  Go to www.Twitter.com and Check it out.

I’m Flying

January 14th, 2008 admin Posted in flylady | No Comments »

Several years ago I ran across this really cool website that has changed my life.  My life and home was in chaos (can’t have anyone over syndrome).  I started receiveing these emails and I couldn’t figure out how this was really going to work for me, yet I kept reading and kept throwing a little away here and there and just kept trying to get my life in order.  You see, I really have a servants heart and I love to cook and bake for people and generally like to have them over, but because of the chaos that I was living in, I never could.  Fast forward till now - my husband’s home inspection business is up and going and getting very busy and I’m busy helping him with it.  If I didn’t have the flyladyFlylady.netFlylady.netFlylady.net systems in place, then I would be crazy  by now.  So if you have chaos in your life and

need to get rid of some of it visit flylady.net and fly.                                                  Flylady.net

PS: I’ve gotten rid of two dumpsters full of stuff, either in an actual dumpster or to the good will.

This will be the second year without a birthday card.

January 14th, 2008 admin Posted in birthday cards, send out cards, soc information | No Comments »

This will be the second year without my grandmother and yes I miss her terribly but…. I know where she is at.

There was one thing that my grandmother did for anyone that she loved and had a address for, she always sent them a birthday card, signed, sealed, hand addressed, stamped and mailed.  Now I especially found this funny because we lived right next door to her, and yet she mailed all of our cards.  I am the first to have a birthday in the year and last year I realized how much getting that birthday card in the mail truly  meant to me.  WHY? Because last year for the first time I didn’t get that birthday card in the mail.  Yes, my husband and my children gave me a card, but it just wasn’t the same.  I got e-cards from some friends but I was affraid to open them….you know the routine and the scare that went on with the e-cards.

I didn’t realize that not getting that card would impact my life in such a dramatic way or that I would find a way to be the one to pick up the routine and be able to send those birthday cards that my grandmother sent to all my extended family with very little effort.  Last year I tried and sent out more belated cards than on time cards and it sure wasn’t the same.  Talk about guilt.  I ran across a system to use at www.followuprobot.com that I can put everything in at the beginning of the year and get everything out just like my grandmother did.  Thank you so much for send out cards…..I can send love one card at a time.

Gratefulness

December 17th, 2007 admin Posted in gratefulness, science of getting rich stuff | No Comments »

I have once again started listening to the science of getting rich cds that I purchased and was reminded of the grateful attitude.  See right now, especially around Christmas, it is so easy to maybe focus on what one doesn’t have or what one can’t do or can’t get for their kids that we forget all that we have to be grateful for.  I have so many things to be grateful for…..I have a loving family, both my family and my husbands family live close by and we can visit them anytime we choose.  My whole family is very healty and doing well.  My kids are great kids, even tho one is 15 and one is 10, I have yet to see those “bad teenage years” that so many talk about.  Now I think this is a KEY - I have always said “I have great kids and I try to never speak in a negative manner about them.”  I believe that you attract what you say!  Back to the book, it also taught me that focusing on what I didn’t want to happen in my life actually brought it into my life.  Now before anyone gets to wondering, I am a born again spirit filled believer, in love with Jesus, and I believe that God, the Father, is the giver of all good things.  So I know who to be grateful to….  I also think that with my actions and attitudes I open the door for the things that I want to happen and the things that I don’t.    If you want to check out the book go to www.making2008great.com and download it for free.  It will definately give you some things to think about.

Also please feel free to check out David’s blog www.askthegeorgiahomeinspector.com for some great tips and to ask questions you may have.
